April 2025

New Cross-Border Routes Launched

Trinity Express is proud to announce the launch of several new cross-border routes connecting major cities across the region. These routes have been carefully planned based on extensive market research and customer feedback, ensuring that we serve the corridors with the highest demand for reliable and affordable transportation.

The new routes include direct services between Harare and Lusaka, Harare and Lilongwe, and an enhanced express connection between Johannesburg and Maputo. Each route features our latest fleet vehicles equipped with air conditioning, reclining seats, and onboard Wi-Fi for a comfortable travel experience.

Passengers can now book tickets for these new routes through our website, mobile app, or at any of our booking offices. Introductory fares are available for the first three months, and frequent travellers can earn double loyalty points on all cross-border journeys booked before the end of June 2025.

Fleet Modernization Program

Trinity Express has completed a major milestone in its ongoing fleet modernization program with the delivery of 20 brand-new long-distance coaches. These state-of-the-art vehicles represent a significant investment in passenger comfort and safety, featuring advanced suspension systems, GPS tracking, and modern entertainment systems at every seat.

The new coaches meet the latest Euro 6 emission standards, reflecting our commitment to environmental responsibility. Each vehicle is fitted with advanced driver-assistance systems including lane departure warnings, automatic emergency braking, and fatigue detection monitors to ensure the highest levels of road safety.

Our fleet modernization program is part of a broader five-year capital investment plan aimed at ensuring that Trinity Express remains the leading choice for intercity and cross-border travel. The remaining phases will see the introduction of additional vehicles throughout 2025 and 2026, with a target of replacing the entire fleet within the next three years.

We are honoured to announce that Trinity Express has been awarded the Regional Transport Safety Excellence Award for the third consecutive year. The award, presented by the Southern African Transport Safety Council, recognizes our outstanding commitment to passenger safety and our exemplary safety record over the past twelve months.

The judging panel highlighted several key factors in their decision, including our comprehensive driver training program, our investment in vehicle maintenance and inspections, and our proactive approach to implementing advanced safety technologies across our entire fleet. Trinity Express recorded zero major incidents throughout 2024, a remarkable achievement in the long-distance transport sector.

Expanded Courier Services

Trinity Express has significantly expanded its courier and parcel delivery services to meet the growing demand for reliable cross-border logistics. Our enhanced courier network now covers over 50 destinations across Southern Africa, offering same-day, next-day, and economy delivery options to suit every budget and timeline.

The expanded service includes a new dedicated parcel sorting facility in Johannesburg, equipped with automated scanning and sorting technology that ensures faster processing times and improved tracking accuracy. Customers can now track their parcels in real time through our updated mobile app and receive SMS notifications at every stage of the delivery process.

Business customers will benefit from our new corporate courier accounts, which offer volume discounts, priority handling, and a dedicated account manager. Whether you are sending documents, small packages, or larger cargo, Trinity Express courier services provide a cost-effective and dependable solution for all your logistics needs.

Customer Satisfaction Record

Trinity Express has achieved its highest-ever customer satisfaction rating, with 94% of surveyed passengers rating their experience as "excellent" or "very good" in our annual customer satisfaction survey. This outstanding result represents a 6% improvement over the previous year and places Trinity Express among the top-rated transport operators in the region.

Key areas of improvement identified in the survey include punctuality, with 97% of services departing and arriving within the scheduled timeframe, and onboard comfort, where our fleet modernization program has clearly made a positive impact. Passengers particularly praised the friendliness and professionalism of our staff, with customer service receiving the highest individual category rating.

We remain committed to continuous improvement and have already implemented several initiatives based on the survey feedback, including extended customer service hours, improved waiting facilities at our major terminals, and an enhanced loyalty rewards program launching in early 2025.

Holiday Travel Advisory

As the festive season approaches, Trinity Express is pleased to announce enhanced services to accommodate the increased demand for travel during the holiday period. Additional departures have been scheduled on all major routes from 15 December 2024 through 10 January 2025, ensuring that our passengers can travel comfortably and conveniently to their holiday destinations.

We strongly encourage all travellers to book their tickets in advance to secure their preferred travel dates and times. Our booking offices, website, and mobile app are all available for reservations, and our customer service team is standing by to assist with any enquiries. Early booking discounts of up to 15% are available on selected routes for tickets purchased before 5 December.

For a safe and enjoyable journey, we remind passengers to arrive at departure points at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time, to keep luggage within the permitted weight limits, and to carry valid identification documents, especially for cross-border travel. We wish all our customers a joyful and safe holiday season.

Community Partnership Programs

Trinity Express is deepening its commitment to the communities we serve through a series of new partnership programs launched in November 2024. These initiatives reflect our belief that a successful business has a responsibility to contribute positively to the social and economic development of the regions in which it operates.

Our flagship community program, "Trinity Cares," provides free transportation for underprivileged students travelling to and from educational institutions during term time. In its first phase, the program has partnered with 12 schools and three universities across Zimbabwe and South Africa, benefiting over 500 students who would otherwise struggle to afford regular transport costs.

Additionally, we have launched a small business support initiative that offers discounted courier rates to local entrepreneurs and small-scale traders who rely on cross-border commerce. By reducing their logistics costs, we aim to help these businesses grow and thrive, creating a positive ripple effect throughout the communities we serve.

New Booking Office Opening

Trinity Express is excited to announce the opening of our newest booking office located in the heart of Pretoria's central business district. The new office, situated on Church Street, has been designed to provide a modern, welcoming environment where customers can book tickets, send parcels, and access information about our full range of services.

The Pretoria office features digital information screens displaying real-time departure schedules, self-service booking kiosks for quick ticket purchases, and a comfortable waiting area with complimentary Wi-Fi. Our trained staff are on hand to provide personalized assistance and travel advice, ensuring that every customer receives the highest standard of service.

This new location is part of our ongoing expansion strategy to bring Trinity Express services closer to our customers. Over the coming year, we plan to open additional booking offices in Polokwane, Nelspruit, and Bulawayo, further strengthening our presence across the region and making it even easier for travellers to access our network.

Digital Tracking System Launch

Trinity Express has launched a cutting-edge digital tracking system that allows passengers and parcel senders to monitor the real-time location and status of their journeys and shipments. The new system leverages GPS technology and cloud-based data processing to deliver accurate, up-to-the-minute information directly to customers' smartphones and computers.

For passengers, the tracking system provides live updates on bus locations, estimated arrival times, and any service disruptions or delays. Parcel senders can now follow their shipments from collection to delivery, with automated notifications sent via SMS and email at each key milestone, including dispatch, in-transit checkpoints, and final delivery confirmation.

The digital tracking system is fully integrated into the Trinity Express mobile app and website, requiring no additional downloads or registrations. This investment in technology underscores our commitment to transparency and customer empowerment, giving our users the information they need to plan and manage their travel and logistics with confidence.

Driver Training Excellence Program

Trinity Express has launched a comprehensive Driver Training Excellence Program designed to raise the standard of professional driving across our operations. The program, developed in partnership with leading road safety experts and accredited training institutions, covers advanced driving techniques, defensive driving strategies, passenger management, and emergency response procedures.

All Trinity Express drivers are required to complete the program, which includes both classroom-based instruction and practical behind-the-wheel training. The curriculum is tailored to the specific challenges of long-distance and cross-border driving, including navigating diverse road conditions, managing fatigue on extended journeys, and handling border crossing procedures efficiently and professionally.

Environmental Sustainability Initiative

Trinity Express has unveiled a comprehensive environmental sustainability initiative aimed at reducing our carbon footprint and promoting eco-friendly practices across all aspects of our operations. Trinity Express is pleased to introduce a dedicated Student Travel Discount Program offering reduced fares to full-time students travelling on any of our domestic and cross-border routes. Eligible students can register for the program by presenting a valid student identification card at any Trinity Express booking office or by uploading their credentials through our mobile app. Once registered, students receive an automatic 20% discount on all standard fares, with additional promotional offers available during peak travel periods such as mid-year and end-of-year breaks.

Infrastructure Improvement Update

Trinity Express is investing heavily in upgrading its infrastructure to support growing passenger volumes and enhance the overall travel experience. Major improvement works are currently underway at our key terminals in Johannesburg, Harare, and Lusaka, with a focus on expanding capacity, modernizing facilities, and improving accessibility for all passengers.

The Johannesburg terminal upgrade includes the construction of a new covered boarding area, additional seating in the waiting lounge, upgraded restroom facilities, and the installation of digital departure boards providing real-time schedule information. Similar improvements are being carried out at our Harare and Lusaka facilities, with completion expected by the end of the third quarter of 2024.

Beyond terminal upgrades, we are also investing in our maintenance depots to ensure that our fleet continues to operate at the highest standards of safety and reliability. New diagnostic equipment, expanded workshop facilities, and additional skilled technicians are being added to our maintenance teams, enabling faster turnaround times and more thorough vehicle inspections.
